Mastering Orlando’s Newest Thrills: Stardust Racers & HHN 35

Greetings, fellow adventurers! Ripley here, scurrying through the latest spring updates as the parks debut some of their biggest changes yet.

Stardust Racers: The Early Reopening

Universal’s Epic Universe surprised park explorers by reopening Stardust Racers ahead of its April schedule. This dual-track launch coaster is currently the most popular portal in the park. To beat the rush, head here immediately after the morning crowd thins—usually around 11:00 AM—or wait for the sunset to catch the neon track in its prime.

Magic Kingdom Refresh: Big Thunder & Buzz

Crews just installed a refurbished entrance sign at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. While the ride remains in maintenance mode through April, the signage update signals we are in the home stretch. Nearby, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is prepping for its April 8 return with updated targeting sensors. These classic transitions mean a higher capacity for Tomorrowland and Frontierland soon.

HHN 35: The Carnival Begins

Tickets are officially on sale for the 35th year of Halloween Horror Nights. The ‘Infernal Carnival of Nightmares’ theme will feature Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow. Early bird tickets are the best way to lock in pricing before the August 28 kickoff. If you’re planning a fall visit, secure these now as opening weekend frequently sells out by June.

💡 Local Insight

With rain forecasted for the weekend, Sunday is your best day for ‘resort hopping.’ Take the monorail or Skyliner to explore the themes of the Grand Floridian or Art of Animation without needing a park ticket or getting soaked.
