Greetings, fellow adventurers! Ripley here, scurrying through the construction walls at Animal Kingdom where the prehistoric dust is finally settling. While we said our official goodbyes to DinoLand U.S.A. back in February, the transformation into the Tropical Americas is already picking up speed!
The Latest Scoop! Tropical Americas & Epic Adventures
- Disney Moves Fast on Tropical Americas Transformation
The walls are up and the demolition of Chester & Hester’s is well underway. We are watching for the first signs of the Indiana Jones and Encanto-inspired structures. It is a big change for the park, but the promise of a carousel and new dining spots has us excited for 2027.
- Universal Epic Universe: One Year of Magic
Can you believe it has been nearly a year since Epic Universe opened its portals? Celestial Park remains a favorite for evening walks. The Ministry of Magic and Dark Universe continue to see high demand, so booking your tickets early is still the best move for any 2026 visit.

Orlando Festival Spotlight
- EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival
We are currently enjoying the blooms of the Flower & Garden Festival. The topiaries of Groot and the characters from Wish are stunning this year. The Garden Graze scavenger hunt is a fun way to try the seasonal bites while you wander through World Nature.
- SeaWorld Seven Seas Food Festival
Over at SeaWorld, the Seven Seas Food Festival is in full swing on weekends. With over 200 food and drink offerings, it is a great alternative for those who want to mix coasters with international flavors. The concert lineup for May looks particularly strong.
Hidden Gems – Explore Beyond the Parks
- Boxi Park (Lake Nona)
For a unique evening, head to Lake Nona. Boxi Park is built entirely from shipping containers and offers live music, a dog park, and great outdoor seating. It is a favorite local hangout that feels worlds away from the park crowds.
- The Wheel at ICON Park
If you want a view of the entire city, a sunset ride on The Wheel is hard to beat. You can see the construction progress at Disney and the sprawling layout of Epic Universe from 400 feet up. It is a beautiful way to end a day in Orlando.
